"Mommy, you in there?'
"Yes"
"Whatcha doin'?"
"Going Potty, I'll be out in a minute."
"Mommy?"

At this point, she decided to start shoving various items under the door that she though I would need. (it should be noted at this point I am done with my business and am just sitting there waiting to see what is going to unfold) The following items I can now say for sure can fit under our bathroom door:
1. a rubber ducky
2. a binkey
3. 3 shoe laces
4. a sock
5. 7 hair bows (I don't know where she found these at)
6. 2 story books
7. 3 little people
8. her blankie (she didn't manage to get it all the way under the door, but pretty close)
9. Jimmy Hoffa
Don't I have the most thoughtful toddler! As I sat there, it hit me, "No one ever warned me about this!" As we enter more fully into the dark realm of toddler hood, I really wish someone would have chosen to enlighten me, but then again, would I help out another parent. Heck NO!! Let them be as surprised as I have been! Maybe I need to start looking for the less obvious signs of things to come... 'Nuff said!

ha!! sydney used to insist on holding my had when i went potty. She was always constipated so i would sit on the tub and hold her hand... to well comfort her. So at about the same age as ur little one she insisted on holding my hand "u ok mom?" or "just a little longer mom". Then she would percede to get my toliet paper and try to.... well i think u get the idea.
