Embarrassment

You know when you were a teenager and your parents liked to do things to embarrass the crap out of you?! I now know why they do that! It is because when you were a toddler, you probably embarrassed the crap out of them, and they are getting their payback. Case in point... Last night the whole family went out for a nice dinner, well nice might be an overstatement, we went to Applebee's. Princess usually fares well in this type of restaurant, you know the kind, loud, noisy, and has tv's on every wall. So I usually don't mind her sudden outbursts, usually being the operative word. We were sat in a section with a bunch of other families with young kids (ever notice that they lump all of us together...I think that might be another post in and of itself) when I decided that hubby needed to take Princess to the potty before her dinner arrived. So they made their way to the back of the restaurant to the bathroom.
I enjoyed a peaceful few minutes of toddler-free bliss, when I looked back to the restroom, and noticed hubby and Princess making their exit. The moment Princess saw me, she screamed at the top of her little toddler lungs, "MOMMY!! I WENT PEE PEE IN THE POTTY!!!!" At this point all eyes were on me, and I noticed that multiple tables were giggling, and I knew it was at us. As I slid down under the table to escape the embarrassment, I realized that, yes, I too will be one of those parents to gets their revenge by embarrassing their child when they are older...watch out Princess...
